July Promotion

Feeling grateful this morning. See, we're trying to get OUT of debt and the first step is to STOP using the credit cards- right? But I knew there was no way this tank of gas would last us 'till next pay day, and we were out of bananas, and diapers. But then, wanna guess what came in the mail? MY pay check from doTERRA! I'm so grateful for this company, my team, for a full tank of gas, a trip to the grocery store- and I even went shoe shopping. Payless is having some GOOD sales people! What could some extra cash do for you? I'd love to have you join my team. Gimmie a chance. Let me tell you about this opportunity.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Protein Bites

Squish together no bake granola bars and energy bites have been circulating the web for a long time! We love them because they're easy, delicious, and convenient. This is our new favorite way of making them- kid friendly and protein packed!

1 1/4  cup rolled oats (old fashioned)
1/2 cup organic, single ingredient peanut butter
1/3 cup organic raw honey
1/3 cup doTERRA V shake powder
1/3 cup organic unsweetened shredded coconut
1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (or dried fruit)
1 T organic ground flaxseed
1 teaspoon vanilla

Mix all ingredients together. Wash your hands before shaping the mixture into bite size balls. Leaving your hands slightly damp helps the recipe to not stick! Store in an air tight container in the refrigerator and then throw a couple into a baggy to toss in your gym bag (or purse) on your way out the door!

We LOVE doTERRA V Shake powder! It's great in this recipe and it's great in smoothies! doTERRA seems to market it as a weight loss agent when used as a meal replacement, but it's great for maintaining a healthy weight when used as a snack and in providing protein necessary for building lean muscle! One scoop servings are safe for kids (though definitely not recommended as a meal replacement in youngsters!) doTERRA V shake is gluten free and non GMO and that V stands for VEGAN! I think it's fan-freakin-tastic that the protein is derived from plant sources. Read more about the benefits and ingredients here as well as pricing: http://www.doterratools.com/documents/V_Shake_PIP.pdf You'll notice quite a difference in price between retail and wholesale- I'd love to help you get this awesome product for the best price possible! New and Exciting

Exciting things happen daily in our lives with regards to health and happiness now that we're using doTERRA 100% certified pure therapeutic grade essential oils and essential oil infused wellness products. But what is both exciting AND new, lately ? Oh just FREE shipping, a visit from an oil EXPERT, and seasonal allergy RELIEF!

1. I hate paying for shipping. I just do. doTERRA gets it. They just do. They're awesome. So this- this shipping rewards program is new this month! (Us & Canada) The shipping rewards program (SRP) helps a consultant earn free product points that can be used toward purchasing orders. Any preferred member, or wellness advocate, can earn SRPs in three ways: By placing any online order, by placing a loyalty rewards or enrollment order, or by placing an online LRP or enrollment order. Need more details or clarification? Shoot me an e-mail eoswithjessica [at] gmail [dot] com
2. Jennifer Richmond of Better with Oils (check her page out on facebook) flew ALL THE WAY FROM CALIFORNIA to spend a long weekend with ME! Jennifer is the oil expert that from her grew this large, diverse, spread out, incredible team of Wellness Advocates that I am blessed to be a part of. She taught classes here and she trained me in how to teach my own classes. I learned so much about essential oils and how to use them for things like hormones and mood management, female health and wellness, making over our medicine cabinet, and keeping kids and babies healthy- naturally. Jennifer is an incredible teacher, but more importantly she is one heck of a person. Definitely a great roll model and someone I aspire to be like. Hers is a story of faith, forgiveness and healing and she is on a quest to share the light of Christ and the wonderful qualities of these oils with everyone that she meets.

3. My husband and I were raised in Colorado and never had any allergies to speak of. We've even traveled the world a bit and haven't had a problem. But spring in Arkansas is brutal! (Or we're getting old and wimpy.) And the kids are suffering too! I missed a long anticipated church activity the other night because my family was a red and puffy, coughing, covered in snot and goop, emotional mess! My husband even missed a day of work! And there I was frustrated beyond belief that my "hippy oils" weren't helping despite my efforts to treat us all for the cold and flu. But then... it dawned on me! (Well I mean my friend mentioned her allergies were pretty bad... and THEN in dawned on me.) So, I switched up our oils routine and BAM - back to our normal selves. We now love this new doTERRA product! Not that the kids can take them yet. But I did rub lavender, peppermint and lemon behind their ears instead. I was skeptical. I mean, it seemed too simple. But our eyes no longer look like tomatoes and I haven't been scratching at my throat and my 18 month old isn't hacking up a lung.

Thank goodness for natural solutions! Order yours today!

EOs for beautiful, healthy hair!

Always nice to have a good hair day!
I no longer have to deal with having a greasy scalp and dry, wiry hair. My kids don't have to suffer the itch of having dry, flaky scalps any more. Thank goodness! Here is what has worked for us! Be sure to read to the end of this post to discover why these natural products have worked for me!

For the kiddos (and adults too)
with cradle cap/ dandruff/ dry patches:

60 drops fractionated coconut oil (Why FCO here.)
8 drops doTERRA lavender
8 drops doTERRA melaleuca
8 drops doTERRA rosemary

I mix these oils together in a glass bottle with a dropper lid. This makes it easy to use for a scalp massage once or twice a week. I just apply a couple drops of the mixture about an hour before their bath times so it has a chance to really soak in and get absorbed. Then, we wash it out with doTERRA salon essentials protecting shampoo.

My daily routine, for my vanity:

1. Pre-shower scalp massage with two drops doTERRA rosemary essential oil. (Good for retaining hair color, preventing hair loss, and encouraging hair growth.)
2. Ditch the poo! I "shampoo" by washing my scalp with a baking soda/ water paste.
3. Condition naturally with a raw, organic apple cider vinegar mixture! (I use a 1:3 vinegar to water ratio.)

When I mention vinegar, I typically get negative reactions because of the smell. This is something I personally don't understand. I grew up gargling vinegar to combat sore throats, ordering vinegar on my sub sandwiches, and topping my salads with vinaigrette. I'm likely to start salivating over the smell of apple cider vinegar. With that being said, no- my hair does not smell like vinegar! I pour the diluted vinegar over my hair and comb my locks in the shower to evenly disperse the vinegar. (Bonus: Vinegar is an awesome de-tangler!) And then I do a quick rinse. The scent never lingers when my hair dries. Instead, I have softer hair with wonderful volume! And, softer skin too! Since starting to rinse with vinegar in the shower, my husband has started praising my soft skin. In January! Winter vortex, January! Soft skin was practically a miracle during those cold, dry weeks! Yea- I really love my vinegar!

Extra love once a week (Deep Conditioning Treatment):

I mix together 1 tablespoon raw, organic honey with 1 tablespoon raw, organic, unrefined coconut oil- warmed. I apply this delicious smelling (and tasting; I may have tried it once) goop to my pony tail and wrap it up in a bun. Thirty minutes later, I take my shower and shampoo with doTERRA salon essentials shampoo and end with my usual vinegar rinse to condition.

Why do these work?
  • Lavender oil, this seemingly cure all oil, is great for dandruff, dry hair, fragile hair, hair loss, itching, dry skin, pain, and rashes.
  • Melaleuca oil is great for managing scalp issues because of it's antibacterial, anti-fungal, anti-infectious, and antiviral properties.
  • Rosemary oil helps balance the scalps sebaceous glands. It's amazing to me that since applying this as a pre-shower scalp massage, I haven't had problems with a greasy scalp- something that has bothered me for years! It helps prevent hair loss and loss of natural hair color. And, I figure this is an added bonus, Rosemary oil helps to improve one's memory! Give me an extra drop of that to rub on my noggin! Also, it is good for treating lice.
  • Baking Soda will gently exfoliate; remove dead skin cells from the scalp and build up on hair.
  • Raw, organic, unpasteurized apple cider vinegar, "balances your hair’s pH levels (which commercial shampoos claim to do, but they only strip your hair) so it helps with dandruff and dry scalp. The ACV also removes build up, detangles your locks for easy combing, and smooths your hair cuticles, hence the shininess" (simplyinfatuated.com). This natural solution costs me $3.89 for a 16 oz bottle of Braggs ACV (raw, organic, unfiltered, unpasteurized) and since I use it diluted, I get 48oz for $3.89! Using vinegar for a conditioner is better for the environment, arguably better for your hair, and definitely better for your budget!
  • Raw, organic honey. Oh the goodness of honey. It fights infections, it's a humecant, it can prevent hair loss. Basically, it's awesome and this short article on youqueen.com explains it wonderfully. Check it out!
  • Raw, organic, unrefined coconut oil is awesome for these reasons: "Vitamin E helps rebuild protein in hair lost through styling. Keeps hair shiny and builds strength. Can be used as a deep conditioning treatment.Has a long shelf life, unlike other hair care products that quickly oxidize and turn rancid. Can be used as a medicinal treatment for dandruff and scalp complaints. Smells lush and tropical, which means your hair will, too!" (trend-statement.org
