Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Protein Bites

Squish together no bake granola bars and energy bites have been circulating the web for a long time! We love them because they're easy, delicious, and convenient. This is our new favorite way of making them- kid friendly and protein packed!

1 1/4  cup rolled oats (old fashioned)
1/2 cup organic, single ingredient peanut butter
1/3 cup organic raw honey
1/3 cup doTERRA V shake powder
1/3 cup organic unsweetened shredded coconut
1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (or dried fruit)
1 T organic ground flaxseed
1 teaspoon vanilla

Mix all ingredients together. Wash your hands before shaping the mixture into bite size balls. Leaving your hands slightly damp helps the recipe to not stick! Store in an air tight container in the refrigerator and then throw a couple into a baggy to toss in your gym bag (or purse) on your way out the door!

We LOVE doTERRA V Shake powder! It's great in this recipe and it's great in smoothies! doTERRA seems to market it as a weight loss agent when used as a meal replacement, but it's great for maintaining a healthy weight when used as a snack and in providing protein necessary for building lean muscle! One scoop servings are safe for kids (though definitely not recommended as a meal replacement in youngsters!) doTERRA V shake is gluten free and non GMO and that V stands for VEGAN! I think it's fan-freakin-tastic that the protein is derived from plant sources.
